The Emancipation Heritage Center will be a vibrant home for the voices, stories, music, and art that have shaped the spirit of Black Kentuckians and Black Americans. It will be a place where community members gather to share untold histories, celebrate cultural achievements, and inspire young people to connect with a heritage too often left out of textbooks. Every corner of the Heritage Center – from its storytelling spaces to its music education programs – will honor the deep contributions of our ancestors and offer a living, breathing space for generations to come.
